Touring the Wine Regions of France
In France there are many wine producing regions each with popular wine tours. Many see France as the center of modern wine making
and the French wine tour is a natural extension of the winery business. Each region offers a unique tasting and sightseeing

French Regional Wine Tours
Alsace:
Situated in the North-East of France near the border of Germany, it is popular for wine tours. Alsace is a relatively small wine growing
region known primarily for white wines including Gewurtztraminer, Pinot Blanc and Riesling.
Bordeaux:
Some of the most popular French wine tours are in the world-renowned Bordeaux wine growing region. The French wine enthusiast can experience

Burgundy:

Champagne:
The only true Champagne is produced in this region just an hour East of Paris. Delightful, high quality tours are offered and many of the
larger wineries put on a grand show.
Rhone and Loire Valleys:
These valleys have a range of climates and soils which allow a broad variety of grapes to be grown. Although not as well recognized outside of
Europe, Locally these wines are known for red and white wines of exceptional value.
Provence:
Any French wine tour should include Provence. This is a beautiful region In the South-East of France where French wine cultivation very likely
began in the 6th century B.C.
